Domestic Water Well Installation

aarontagssmall.png

Domestic water wells are constructed with 6 5/8” steel surface casing designed to provide a superior surface seal. There is a telescoped 5” PVC liner with machine slot perforations in the water-producing zone for maximum well efficiency, and is capped with vermin-proof well caps. Our wells are production tested in accordance with Alberta Environment regulations to determine a maximum recommended pump rate. Water chemistry is analyzed for Total Dissolved Solids, Iron, and Hardness.

Each well is tagged with a unique identification number so our customers can call our office anytime to obtain details we have on file about their well or pressure system.

We do not use PVC well surface casing as we feel steel surface casing gives our well customers a longer-lasting water source. (blue picture attached)

This is an example of why we do not use PVC surface casing on our wells.

Licensable Standard Water Well

Get an Alberta Environment Water License with Our Standard Water Wells

Our Licensable Standard Wells are constructed with steel surface pipe driven into bedrock, a 5-inch PVC liner from the bottom of the surface pipe to the bottom of the well with a machine slot perforations in the water-producing zone for maximum well efficiency.

The surface pipe is cemented into the bedrock. With a licensable standard well, the owner can apply for a water license from Alberta Environment, so the water can be used for industrial applications.

Call 403-938-4961 for more information or a drilling estimate.

If the new well is not being used for single-family domestic use you will have to have Aaron Drilling drill you a licensable standard well. You may also need to apply for a water license from Alberta Environment ( link to AB ENV Website – Licensing water wells)

Aaron Drilling has years of experience helping customers obtain groundwater licenses for water wells all over Alberta. It starts with the correct advice on how to properly construct the well to meet Alberta Environments’ strict regulations as per the water act. Then working with top industry professionals and hydrogeologists to insure you can use your new water well as intended.

For larger industrial applications Aaron Drilling is an expert at the installation of larger diameter water wells ( up to 12” surface casing) with telescoped stainless steel well screens. We use top-drive air rotary drilling equipment with drill-through casing hammers to install the cleanest, most efficient water wells possible in Alberta.

Geothermal Drilling

In Southern Alberta

National Driller Magazine.jpg

We were proud to work on one of the first large scale geothermal projects in Southern Alberta.

We install standard boreholes or boreholes complete with an earth loop 20 percent solids grout solution, trademarked by Aaron Drilling.

Our trademarked geothermal grout is highly efficient, insuring the thermally conductive grout stays in suspension and in contact with the formation and not settling out to the bottom of the hole.

Chris Quinlan was one of the first few licensed geothermal drillers in Alberta and already has a career of experience in a newly emerging industry. We are experts at controlling aquifers and eliminating cross-contamination of aquifers. Alberta Environment Geothermal Regulations

Large Diameter De-Watering Wells

De-watering wells can be used for many applications with the purpose of lowering groundwater levels. At Aaron Drilling, we can install large-diameter de-watering wells for short and long-term use. If you are interested in learning more, please give us a call at 403-938-4961.

Screened Wells

For Agriculture Irrigation and Stopping Sediment

Oftentimes screened wells are used for agricultural irrigation, but they can be used in a variety of circumstances in order to screen out sediment from the water supply.

To learn more about the screened well options of Aaron Drilling, please give us a call. We would be glad to provide you with a convenient estimate.

Culvert Water Wells

Drainage and Water Transportation

Often used in the transportation of water over a certain distance, the culvert well can be necessary when needing to pass under a road or similar structure. At Aaron Drilling, we can install culvert water wells of various diameters to meet your specifications.

Water Well Abandonment

Information and Estimates

Aaron Drilling follows all abandonment regulations set out by Alberta Environment to ensure sanitary abandonment of the aquifer and protection of our groundwater. Once a well is properly abandoned we file all the required paperwork with Alberta Environment and return to you an approved abandonment report.

In most cases, a Class A Journeyman Water Well Driller is required to perform well abandonment work.

Please call 403-938-4961 for abandonment information or an abandonment estimate. We can assist you with both small residential wells and larger commercial wells.

Well Rehabilitation

Servicing in Calgary

It is not always necessary to drill a new water well if an existing well loses production over time. Well repairs are often enough to fix the damage. We can go into an old water well and redevelop the aquifer in some cases.
